Prior to the UFC, doing things a bit backwards, Mike coached at Urijah Faber's Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California. In 2020, after 3 years out of the cage, Mike stepped up to fight Solomon Renfro. After an impressive showing, he punched his ticket onto the Dana White Contender Series, where he impressed Dana and quickly submitted Shimon Smotritsky.
Since then he has knocked out athletes with big names like Mickey Gall and submitted fellow Canadian Yohan Lainesse. With his most recent win against Adam Fugitt at UFC Vancouver, Mike proved himself to be the next big thing coming out of Canada.
