UFC 269 Fight Picks

UFC 269 goes down this Saturday with a stacked card, as everyone probably already knows. Dustin Poirier takes on Charles Oliveira for the lightweight belt in the main event, after defeating Conor McGregor two times in a row.

With Khabib Nurmagomedov's departure from the sport, many believe that Dustin has been the best and lightweights uncrowned king. Charles on the other hand has taken the hard road in the UFC. He started out as a featherweight and was defeated many times, even quitting a few times in his early career. But the Jiu Jitsu ace rounded out his skillset with crisp boxing and kicking technique to make himself an incredibly dangerous fighter. He now has the standup to contend with anyone, without worrying about if he gets taken to the ground.

The female GOAT Amanda Nunes stars in the co-main event in the second booking with Juliana Pena. Pena was forced to withdraw due to injury from their fist scheduled bout but early in her career was looked at as a worthy challenge to Amanda's throne.

A surprisingly underrated and overlooked bout takes place in the flyweight division, with Cody Garbrandt moving down in weight to take on City Kickboxing's own Kai Kara France. Kara France is almost never in a boring fight and brings constant action to high paced affairs. While the former bantamweight knockout artist, Cody Garbrandt will look to revitalize his career at flyweight. We will see if his heavy hands hold up in a lower weight-class.

And of-course we have the return of potential star, Sean O'Malley, taking on his first ranked opponent Raulian Paiva. Can O'Malley continue his rise to stardom or is he overhyped and given too much credit for his flashy style.

Check out my fight picks below and tune in this Saturday to watch the fights go down..
