On any day of the week, you can walk into Kombat Arts in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and you will find John-Michael Bianco working away. Thud, thud, smash, he's hitting the mitts, smashing the bag, and sparring with training partners. This sport is not for the weak minded, it is not for those unwilling to put the work in, and it is most definitely not for those intimidated by the grind.
You may not think it watching him now, but he actually lost his first amateur boxing match. Many at this point quit, thinking this sport is not for them, instead JM used this as motivation to fuel him to to the next level.
He has since competed in 64 amateur bouts, with 50 of them being wins, and has fought and trained throughout five different countries including Mexico and U.S.A. For now, has his sights set on an Olympic dream, a dream that has been pushed back due to the COVID-19 virus from 2020 to 2021. Afterwards there is no doubt you will see his name in the professional ranks.
You can find out more about his journey below.
